Our Success Stories
Over the years, STIC has:
- Designed “Walking Together,” curriculum to foster respect for religious diversity among children and families.
- Organized social events around national and religious holidays such as Thanksgiving, Kwanzaa, Ramadan, Hanukkah and Christmas.
- Responded compassionately to societal events such as a memorial service for Matthew Shepard, a young man murdered because of his sexual orientation; helping to clean anti-Semitic graffiti from the Jewish Community Center; and supporting our Muslim friends at the Islamic Center of the Finger Lakes following the September 11th attacks.
- Sponsored dozens of lectures, musical programs, art exhibitions and workshops dedicated to understanding faith perspectives, dispelling misinformation, promoting peacemaking and fostering environmental stewardship.
- Assisted college students so they could attend seminars and participate with national and international leaders in the field of interfaith studies.
