The 2026 Burin Kite Festival is a multi-day event of Palestinian civil resistance, joy and culture held in the West Bank village of Burin. Centered around a global call to action in early July, communities worldwide host solidarity kite-flying events to demand an end to military occupation and raise funds for children from refugee camps. (since 2008).

The residents of Burin, Palestine have invited people around the world to fly kites alongside them in their own communities as part of a global campaign demanding the end of land seizure and occupation.

Come fly kites with members of your community and show solidarity through a celebration of Palestinian culture and sustained resistance.

Please bring your own kite. We will also provide materials for those who would like to make a kite.
